Renaissance

The first Renaissance came out of the bottega: crowded Florentine workshops where painters, engineers and apprentices shared tools, commissions and ideas, and learned the newest techniques of their day by doing. Leonardo trained in one, in Verrocchio's workshop, before he ever had one of his own.

Today the newest work happens in the same kind of places: small rooms, side projects and late-night repos. It's made by builders, hackers and dark talent who are on the bleeding edge but have no distribution. New Renaissance exists to find them, give them a bottega to work in, and show the world what they make.
